Hizbul cadre Kamruz Zaman to be brought to Assam

Hizbul Mujahideen cadre Kamruz Zaman will be brought to Assam, informed Assam Police DGP.

Speaking to the media DGP Kuladhar Saikia said that Assam police is coordinating with the Uttar Pradesh Police in Zaman's extradition process.

It may be noted that investigation against Jihadi is still on in the state. Eight extremists have been arrested so far with interrogation on few others under way.

Earlier, On September 13, Uttar Pradesh police arrested one of Assam's most wanted terrorist Kamruz Zaman who had joined the Hizbul Mujaheedin in Jammu and Kashmir.

Following Zaman's arrest, Assam police are carrying out an intense operation in the state to find more links of any operative from the terrorist outfit.
