Hundreds Of People Admitted To Hospital After Eating ‘Puja Prasad’ In Lanka

Increase in the number of people suffering from food poisoning in after eating "Puja Prasad" in ward no 7 of Rangmahala in Hojai's Lanka.

According to sources, patients are being brought to The Primary Health Centre in Lanka from ward no 7 since the night.

The patients has been admitting non stop since last night at the Lanka Primary Health Centre as well as the private Lankeshwari Hospital in Lanka.

According to lanka health department, 30 patients have been brought to Lanka Primary Health Centre till last night after 72 were treated on Thursday morning.

While again, 12 have been brought to Lanka's private Lankeshwari Hospital so far but one of them has been sent out for better treatment.

On the other hand, according to the family members of Bakul Chandra Das of Ward 7, who conducted the puja in connection with the incident said that there were puja held on other places in the area on the same day, which is why they are not aware of where the poisoning took place by eating the puja prasad.
