A huge chuck of intoxicating substance was seized at Baitamari in Abhayapuri while they were being smuggled from Guwahati to Dhubri.

The car, bearing registration number AS 25 AC 1013, was carrying, among others, 3,900 bottles of OWNREX (illegal cough syrup), Powermentin 625 tablets and PODEXIM CLAV DUO Syrup.

The Police have nabbed two persons – Paneshwar Narzary and Rupam Das – in connection with the case.
