In a drive against illegal sale of liquor in the region by the excise department, Baksa police conducted raids in various locations and seized illicit liquor on Tuesday.

Two individuals, who have been identified as Nanda Bahadur Nirala and Tejing Sherpa, were arrested. Five cartons of Bhutan-made beer were recovered from them.

Officials have informed that the duo had been running selling liquor illegally for quite a few days. Drive against such activities will continue in the coming days too, they added.
