Agyathuri's shooting incident has sent shock throughout the area. The body of the deceased Junu Sharma, who had been shot dead by two miscreants on Tuesday, was kept in Tularam Bafna Civil Hospital's morgue. The reason behind the murder is yet unknown.

On Wednesday morning, the body has been shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for post mortem.

According to reports, two persons on a bike shot the woman, a resident of Guwahati, around 7 pm Tuesday. The miscreants fled the scene after committing the crime.

The woman was an employee of SBI Dadara, who was returning from work in a Zen Estilo car with the registration number – AS 01AG 6869.

Police is still in search of the two miscreants but has not been able to find any lead, however, has detained Sharma's driver, Pranab Kalita. Police also suspect the involvement of the driver in the incident.
