Itanagar To be Under Complete Lockdown for a Week

The Itanagar Capital Complex will be under complete lockdown from July 6 (Monday) to July 12 (Sunday), tweeted State Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

Khandu in his tweet said, "Itanagar capital complex will be under lockdown from 6th July (Monday) till 12th July (Sunday). Detailed Guidelines and SOP for compliance will be issued shortly."

The decision has been taken by the district administration as a precautionary measure in the wake of an alarming rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state.

Arunachal Pradesh has so far witnessed 252 COVID-19 positive cases.

Among them 176 cases are active and 75 persons have so far been cured and discharged.

The State has so far witnessed one COVID-19 related deaths.
