The truck drivers said that they have permit to enter into the state of Assam but the police have failed to identify the syndicate circle for which the trucks have been sent back to Meghalaya from Jorabat.
It may be mentioned that the coal syndicate in the state are continued unabated but still the government has failed to control the syndicate.
Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi also raised the issue at the winter session of the Assam Legislative Assembly alleging that the coal syndicate in the state has resumed and the Chief Minister has given a green signal to it.
Gogoi has claimed that since the Uttar Pradesh elections are approaching, Assam needs to arrange Rs 300 crore, and so the syndicates have been resumed to arrange that money.
He added, "Not just the UP elections, but Assam itself is running out of funds and so to fill the pockets of the BJP leaders, the syndicates are being resumed."
