A dead body was discovered floating in Jorhat's Raj Mao pond on Monday by a jogger who was on his morning walk.

The deceased was identified as one Dhiraj Baruah. Police recovered his body from the pond after being informed of the same.

As per reports, Dhiraj owned a business named "Olympica" in the town. It is suspected that he may have tripped and fell into the pond while he was on his morning walk.
