Kamrup (Metro) DTO collects Rs. 193.66cr revenue

The Kamrup (Metro) District Transport Office has garnered over Rs. 193.66 crore in revenue in the 2018-19 financial year. There has been an increase of 8 percent in the collection of revenue since last financial year.

In 2017-18, the transport office had garnered a revenue of Rs. 178.44 crore. According to officials, the maximum amount of revenue was acquired from registration fees and road tax.

"Motor vehicle inspectors and other officials ensured that road tax and other levies were paid by vehicle owners through regular checking," informed an official of the Kamrup (Metro) DTO.
