Kaziranga To Have the Longest Flyover

Assam Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Friday said that the longest flyover in the state will be constructed at Kaziranga with 36 km long and 11 m width.

The minister said that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) will beprepared within November and the construction process will be started as soonas the DPR will be prepared.

The National Highway Authorities of India (NHAI) is preparing the DPR. It has been further informed that the flyover will start from Burhapahar.

Suklabaidya also informed that there is no objection of court till nowfor the construction of the flyover and that the project has been progressedwith the support of National Green Tribunal, Forest Department and Centralgovernment.

He further said that if everything goes well then the construction workwill be started from 2020-21.
