An incident of an accused escaping from police custody shocked Guwahati, who was being taken for a health check-up, on Tuesday.

The escapee, Keval More also known as Gullu was accused in a case of kidnapping a child name Manvik Surana from Kid Veda at Christian Basti on February 5.

According to reports, More was taken for a health check up at GMCH, from where he escaped from the police'scustody.

The case, in which More was the prime accused, was registered under the Dispur Police station. However, the complaint of accused escaping from the police custody has been registered under the Bhangagarh Police station.
