KMSS Urges Organizations Not to Step Back from CAB protest

TheKrishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) on Monday said that the foreigners will beable to work in the inner line permit area and 6th schedule areaalthough the CAB will not be implemented in those areas.

Addressinga press conference today, KMSS Chief Akhil Gogoi said that the foreigners' willnot be able to buy land in the sixth schedule area but they will be able towork there and will also be able to cast their vote. They can even take land inlease.

Gogoi stated that the discussion of CAB with the union home minister is a sheer drama and that the center has made a delusion within us regarding CAB. He also reiterated that the Centre has not said that the inner line area and the sixth schedule are not excluded from CAB, rather it is said that the rules of these areas will not be violated by CAB.

Gogoi also revealed the statement made by Hagrama Mohilary to the union home minister Amit Shah. Mohilary urged the Centre to implement CAB with its power.

TheKMSS chief further claimed that the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has surrenderedshamelessly in the meeting held at Delhi.

Reactingon Assam Sahitya Sabha's statement, Gogoi said that the apex literature bodyhas stepped back up with their responsibility by stating that the preservationof language-culture is the main aim.

Healso claimed that the discussion was one-way traffic and after Amit Shahdeclared that Clause VI will be implemented before passing CAB, theorganizations become silent and the protests against CAB have become weak.

TheKMSS further said that CAB can't safeguard the constitutional rights of thepeople and therefore he urged the political and non-political organizations tocontinue the protests against CAB in order to safeguard the rights of thepeople.
