In a tragic incident, a woman and her daughter on Friday drowned to death in Saraibil of Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar district.

The incident took place while one 26-year-old Ranju Narzary was washing clothes and her 18 month-old daughter Karishma was along with her.

Few fishermen recovered the corpses of the mother and child.
