A prisoner who had escaped from the North Lakhimpur District Jail on October 2 has been caught hold of by the Police.

The jail inmate on the run was Papu Das. He was nabbed again by the Police last night from Dorpang, where had gone into hiding.

Das was previously sent to the jail on June 20 on charges of theft.
