Dibrugarhpolice on Tuesday filed the final chargesheet against 24 officers of AssamCivil Service, Assam Police Service and allied services who were arrested oncharges of securing jobs thro-ugh the Assam Public Service Commission by payingbribes.

Thechargesheet was filed at the special court under various Sections of thePrevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and different Sections of the IPC.

"We have completed our investigation. Four of the accused are still absconding and we have arrested seventy people including then APSC chairman Rakesh Paul in connection with the case," said investigating officer Surjeet Singh Panesar on Tuesday.

Itmay be mentioned here that there were seven ACS and APS official amongst thearrested seventy accused.
