Leaders condole Biraj Sharma’s demise

In a tweet Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, "Saddened to learn about the demise of former minister & AGP leader Biraj Kumar Sarma. I offer my sincere condolences and prayers to his bereaved family members and well-wishers."

On the other hand, former Assam Chief Minister and senior AGP leader Prafulla Kumar Mahanta also condoled the demise of Biraj Sharma. He expressed his deepest sympathies to the family members of Sharma. Notably Prafulla Kumar Mahanta was also a signatory of the Assam Accord along with Biraj Sharma and Bhrigu Kumar Phukan.

Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also took to twitter to express his condolence on the demise of the AGP leader.

Meanwhile, BJP State president Ranjeet Kumar Dass also offered his condolence. "BJP president Ranjeet Dass offered his sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family of Biraj Sharma," a BJP press statement read.
