Leopard Terror Creates Panic in Assam

Leopards terrorized in most parts of Assam and in a recent case, a leopard has been caged at Selengi village in Golaghat district.

The leopard terrorized in the area for many days and destroyed the paddy cultivation of the people. The forest department has successfully caged the leopard after repeated attempts on Monday. People also crowded in the area to witness the caged leopard.

On the otherhand, a tiger attacked a man Jitu Gogoi (45) at Khumtai. The tiger attacked theman at the time when he was cleaning his garden. Following the incident, thelocals also attacked the tiger after which it died.

Locals allegedthat the tigers regularly terrorized in the area and attacked the domesticanimals and requested the forest department to provide them cages as the tigerfrequently roams openly in the area.

Later, the officials of the forest department reached the spot and take the tiger for post mortem.
