Local Holiday declared on Oct 28

The Assam government has declared local holiday onOctober 28 within the jurisdiction of Kamrup (M) district on the occasion ofDiwali.

The CM's office issued a press statement declaring alocal holiday on October 28 to enable the people to celebrate the festival oflights, Diwali.

"All state government offices, educational institutions, and banks will remain closed during this holiday. The local holiday is declared under the NI Act," said the press statement.
