Locals Stop Kaliabor 4 Lane NH Construction

The local people of Kaliabor today stopped the ongoing construction work of the four-lane National Highway project in Kaliabor amidst charges of corruption.

Protesting on the highway against the alleged graft involved in the project, the people have also accused National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) of being irresponsible.

The people of the area have also accused Gammon India and Simplex Infrastructures Limited, both of which are involved in the construction, of corruption.

People have also expressed a strong sense of displeasure over the fact that the construction company has left no space for building service road and drains.
