Majuli ferry service resumes

The ferry service in Majuli have been resumed today as the water level of Brahmaputra have receded. The ferry service set out from Kamalabari to Nimatighat at 7.30 am on Sunday. The special service was resumed for the AHSEC junior assistant applicants.

The ferry service will be available at 1.30 pm from Kamalabari to Nimatighat and at 3.30 pm there will be a service from Marbat, whereas the trip from Nimatighat to Kamalabari is set at 8.30am and 11.30am in the morning and 3.30pm and 4.30 pm in the evening.

It is to be mentioned that the ferry service between Majuli and Nimatighat was halted on Saturday without any prior notice due to the rise in water level of Brahmaputra river and foggy weather.
