Man Stages Naked Protest In Jorhat

Several organisations of the state have been staging demonstrations across the state to protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016. Recently, a group of demonstrators stripping naked, outside the Parliament against the centre's move to amend the Bill.

In a similar incident, a youth has staged a naked protest at Deputy Commissioner office in Jorhat against the center proposed Citizenship Bill. Within no time, police swung into action and removed the protester from the highly secured DC office.

The people of the state have been protesting against the bill, saying it would nullify the 1985 Assam Accord.
