In a sensational incident, a man died after allegedly being beaten up by his friend for not giving him Rs. 20. The incident took place in Borahtula area in Hajo.

AnilDas succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday at a hospital. As per the reports, theaccused Padum Das demanded Rs. 20 from Anil Das, but the latter refused to givehim the money. Following which, Padum allegedly got angry and beat Anil severely.Later Anil was admitted to a hospital with serious injuries, where he breathedhis last.

Meanwhile,Anil's wife lodged an FIR against Padum Das. The Hajo police registered a caseagainst the accused under IPC sections 341/447/325/302. However, Padum Das iscurrently absconding.
