Manas Robin extends support to CAB protest

Assamese lyricist, singer,composer, music director, filmmaker, music producer Manas Robin on Thursday extendedfull support to the protest by the students of Cotton University against Citizenship(Amendment) Bill, 2016.

In a message posted on social media, he said the students are not fighting a battle for themselves but for the coming generations.

He is one of the top musicians of Assam. He has consistently churned out chartbusters during the last ten years. One of the most recognized faces in the North-east region, Manas has been in forefront of Assamese music industry having a wide range of compositions in Assamese language under his belt. Folk music of the North-east has got a new lease of life at his hands as he has composed songs using hitherto unsung folk tunes of the various ethnic communities of the state of Assam as well as the other states of the North-east India.
