Mangaldai: BJP retains

The BJP has been successful in retaining the Mangaldai Lok Sabha constituency of Assam, however, the sitting MP Ramen Deka will be replaced by one of its other candidate Dilip Saikia.

Putting another BJP flag in one of 14 LS seats of Assam, Saikia has won 735469 votes.

Putting up a good fight Congress' Bhubaneswar Kalita trailed behind the BJP candidate by a margin of 138,545 votes.

Earlier, after the party high command released the list of candidates for the Lok Sabha, reshuffling the senior leaders created a lot of fuss among others, however, the move only proved to be a blessing.
