In a sensational incident, a married woman was suspected to be raped in Mariani after being recovered in serious condition from New Sonowal area.

The woman was immediately admitted to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) by the locals and her condition is said to be crucial. Locals have also informed the police regarding the incident.

They suspected that she was raped somewhere. However, police yet to make any statement on the incident.
