Police on Friday seized 2200 litres of illegally stored diesel from Kusiyani village, Mayong along with 102 bags of rice. The diesel has been seized from the house of one Naseer Ali.

Ali transported the diesel from Meghalaya illegally and hid it in his house.

After a local operation by the police, he was caught and the items were seized.

The bags of rice have been given for public distribution.
