Minor assault case: Zubeen to rectify himself

Reactingto the judgment of a court regarding a 2013 case of slapping a minor, singerZubeen Garg on Saturday said that he has accepted the verdict of the court andwill "try" to rectify himself in the future.

"I haveaccepted the verdict of the court and will try to rectify myself in the future,"Zubeen said while speaking to media on Saturday. However, he maintained that asa senior, he would always point out the mistakes committed by his juniors.

In 2013,Zubeen had allegedly slapped the son of senior advocate Arup Borbora, forsmoking in public and Borbora had lodged an FIR with the police following theincident. The District and Sessions Judge's court of Kamrup (Metro) on Friday exemptedthe quantum of punishment on the ground that Zubeen will not break any law innext two years.
