Initiating a departmental probe, the Assam Police havesuspended two of their policemen, while sacked another in connection with thesensational case of looting Rs. 20 lakh from a Mizo woman.

The suspended policemen are Sub-Inspectors HiranyaPathari and Pranjal Bora. The Assam Police sacked Home Guard Bipul Hazarika. Theywere suspended with immediate effect since Saturday.

Earlier, Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia on Saturday hinted that there might be more police officials involved in the sensational case.
