Mob attack : Assam Police cops injured

Two Assam police constables were injured in a mob attack at Balitika-Konwarpur in Lakhimpur district on Thursday.

Reportedly, a squad of Dolahat Police Outpost operated an operation on Thursday in search of accused Habibur Rahman who was wanted for running fake gold racket in the state.

During their operation, people of the area gathered there and attacked on the policemen with dangerous weapons and stones.

Two policemen of Dolahat Police Outpost namely Nabajit Saikia and Prabin Borah were injured in the mob attack.

They were admitted to North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital and their conditions are now stated to be critical.

On the other hand, Dolahat police have arrested prime accused of the police attack Atabur Rahman. Reportedly, Prime accused of the incident Atabur Rahman pelted stones at police.
