Moran: Quarantine Centre staff tests positive for COVID-19

Four government officials who were appointed on duty at a quarantine centre in Moran district of Assam on Monday have been tested positive for coronavirus.

Three of these frontline workers and public officials are Lat Mandals and one teacher.

The teacher diagnosed with COVID-19 is Jyoti Prakash Gogoi and the three Lat Mandals are Manas Pratim, Shailesh Basak and Uttam Hazarkia.

All the four diagnosed were officials at a quarantine centre and came in contact with a lot of individuals.

The occurrence of community spreading of COVID-19 in Moran is now suspected.
