More than 10 dead in Mizoram floods

More than 10 people have lost their lives after heavy rains triggered flood and landslides in Lunglei and Aizawl districts of Mizoram.

More than 350 families have been rendered homeless in the flood. Large area of paddy cultivation have also been submerged by the flood in Lunglei, officials informed.

Over 1,000 people have been evacuated to safer places in both districts.

The road towards Lengpui Airport from Aizawl has also been blocked at Hunthar due to landslides triggered by rain.
