Naga militants open fire at Assam Rifles camp

Suspected NSCN militants fired several rounds of gunfire towards a camp of Assam Rifles in Nagaland's Mon district in the wee hours of Sunday.

According to reports, the volley of fire fromautomatic weapons was fired to the Assam Rifles installation, which injured ajawan. As many as 75 empty cartridges were recovered from the spot, informedtop officials.

However, the miscreants were able to escape in thedarkness. Meanwhile, local police registered a case in this connection.
