Nagaland bans entry of Assam vehicles

Pratidin Bureau

Four districts of Nagaland on Thursday closed their entry points for vehicles coming from Assam for ten days due to the outbreak of coronavirus infection in Mariani district, Assam.

The four districts are Mokokchung, Tuensang, Zunheboto and Longleng.

For the next ten days starting from this evening all vehicles, large and small, will be barred from entering the state.

As a result of this restriction, many trucks loaded with various kinds of goods are stranded at the Shutyafela gate in the Assam-Nagaland border.
