In a horrific incident, recovery of a woman's dead body has stirred sensation in Naharkati. According to reports, local residents found the body in a pond after which they informed the police.

The incident occurred in Digholia Kukura Pohiya Village under Sasoni police station. It has been informed that the body of the woman has been identified as Amina Gogoi, wife of Hemanta Gogoi. The body has been sent for post mortem at AMCH, Dibrugarh.

The paternal family of the deceased alleging a planned murder have filed an FIR at the Naharkatia Police Station. Based on the FIR, the police registering a complaint have begun an investigation.

According to sources, the deceased's husband and three of his friends have been detained by the police in suspicion of the murder, pertaining to which an interrogation is underway.

Only the post mortem reports will disclose the reason behind the death of the woman.
