NBT Director Dr. Rita Chowdhury resigns

Sahitya Akademi Award winning writer Dr Rita Chowdhury has resigned from the post of  National Book Trust (NST) Director on Thursday. The eminent writer has not yet cleared the reason for her resignation. However taking to Pratidin Time, the former director of  NBT said that said she would reveal the reason of her resignation soon.

On January 7, Monday Dr Choudhury posted on Facebook,  Moi Asomiya (I am Assamese).

Dr Chowdhury is the wife of Dharmapur MLA and present Transport Minister of Assam Chandra Mohan Patowary.  Dr Chowdhury  is a professor of political science at Cotton College, Guwahati.

It is to be mentioned seven months prior to Dr  Rita Choudhary's resignation, the Ministry of Human Resource and Development released a circular inviting application for the post of director of NBT.
