NDFB Chief Ranjan Daimary has tested positive for COVID-19 today. He has been taken to MMCH for treatment.

He was reportedly among the 19 inmates of the Guwahati Central Jail who were infected by the contagion today.

All the other 18 inmates have been taken to Jagi Road COVID Hospital for treatment.

Akhil Gogoi is also in Guwahati Central Jail. Two of his associates have already tested positive for the contagion Wednesday night.
