Northeast Express converted into a LHB rake

The Northeast Express will no longer be the blue train we used to see as marking the beginning of a new era, the Northeast Express has been converted into a Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches from Sunday.

The step was taken to ensure safe, speedy and comfortable travel, informed Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) on Sunday.

Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches are the passenger coaches of Indian Railways that have been developed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch of Germany and mostly produced by Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala. The coaches are designed for an operating speed up to 160 km/h and could go up to 200 km/h.
