Noted novelist Tulika Saikia passes away

Noted novelist Tulika Saikia has passed away today. A resident of Golaghat, the writer of 'Sarixal Goxanir Tej ', Saikia was a Munin Borkatoky Sahitya Award winner who had been suffering from kidney ailment for some time now.

The novelist was working as a teacher at Kushal Konwar Balya Bhawan and her death has left an air of mourning in the world of literature.

Born in 1977, Saikia received lauds for her only published literary work – 'Sarixal Goxanir Tej '. She had left many of her works unpublished.

The author has left her husband and a daughter behind.
