After publishing the final NRC, Hojai BJP MLA Siladitya Dev had arranged a press meet on Saturday.

Addressing to media he thanked to Supreme Court of India along with central and state government for the initiative taken by them.

During the press meet he told "NRC didn't give the result, which actually Assam needs. In this NRC, approximately 1 crore names should be excluded, but it didn't happened. NRC is only a conspiracy to include the names of Muslim community. State coordinator Pratik Hazela did the whole process in shake of his life. AAMSU and AIUDF get a huge success by this NRC for their political career. He alleged that, 'Assam Andolan' was not for excluding the illegal migrants, it was the provision to accept the migrants to Assam."

Siladitya dev added, "Assam should suffer a lot, if they accept the NRC. So we need a neutral inquiry in this regard and Supreme Court should hand over the authority to state and central government."
