One Detained In Bharalu, Drugs Seized

The Bharalu Police on Saturday evening detained huge amount of drugs valued several lakhs. Based on a secret tip-off, the peddler had been caught red handed by the police.

Identified as Prasenjit Das, the peddler was apprehended from Bhutnath area allegedly for carrying illicit drugs. Reportedly, police also seized an Indigo vehicle from him. Notably Prasenjit was earlier arrested in a same case.

"Follow up action is being initiated in this regard," informed a Bharalu official. "Value of the contraband item seized will be several lakhs in black markets," added the official.
