ONGC to conduct re-examinations in 3 centers

Following the anomalies in the Computer Based Test (CBT) examination conducted by the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) on Friday, the company has decided to conduct re-examination in those examination centers, where technical glitches were reported and to reimburse Travelling Allowance (TA) to the candidates, who could not appear in the examination due to technical difficulties.

Expressing its concern over the anomalies at three examination centers; Assam Online – Guwahati, GATE – Guwahati and Global Engineering Academy – Jorhat, the company stated, "ONGC is taking all possible measures to ensure smooth conduct of the said examination and decision has been taken to reimburse travelling allowance for appearing in CBT on the re-scheduled date to those candidates who could not appear due to technical difficulties."

The ONGC in a press statement issued on Saturday further said that the re-scheduled date, time venue for the CBT will be communicated to the candidates in due course of time.

It may be mentioned here that the candidates in Guwahati's Assam Online centre GATE institute had demonstrated protest against the ONGC following anomalies and had demanded clarification regarding the matter from higher authorities.
