Partha Bijoy – A multifaceted police officer passes away

Assamese writer-cum-multifaceted police officer Partha Bijoy Dutta (APS) has passed away on Thursday at Nemcare hospital in Guwahati. He was serving as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) in Tinsukia district. He was 36.

Moments after news broke of Partha Bijoy Dutta's death on Thursday morning, social media was inundated with messages of grief and condolences.

As per reports, he was a cancer patient and was undergoing treatment at Nemcare hospital. It may be noted that, he had unveiled his another book 'Duroir Ghonta Dhwani' on Sunday at Nemcare hospital. Recently, Dutta got promotion as Additional Superintendent of Assam Police Battalion in Titabor. Dutta was born in Jorhat.

When he was in Class V, he wrote 'Puhoror Xandhanot' (A Poetry book). He penned 'Khondohar', 'Cherryphoolor botor aru ata jiwanor xaadhu', 'Jukti-Bastobor Saa-Puhorot' and 'Geet aru tar achin Prithibi'.
