People of Barpeta are from Bangladesh: Apu Biswas

A popular Bangladesh actor, Apu Biswas, recently announced that the people of Assam's Barpeta are actually from Bangladesh. Biswas made the remarks at a cultural function at Sauliyabari village in Barpeta district. She said that the residents of the Barpeta district are actually Bangladeshis.
