Pratidin Bureau

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Wednesday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who on Tuesday inaugurated the India's longest road cum train bridge, the Bogibeel bridge. Addressing a press conference at Guwahati, former Assam Minister Pradyut Bordoloi said, Narendra Modi likes to take credit for other's contribution.

"It is great that Prime Minister has inaugurated the long awaited Bogibeel Bridge on Tuesday. It was indeed an important event for the people of Assam," former Minister Rockybul Hussain said, adding, "But they have not invited former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, Mammohan Singh and former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi on the occasion."

Notably, HD Deve Gowda had laid the foundation stone back in January 22, 1997.

The APCC members also said, "BJP has used the inauguration ceremony for own profit." The Congressmen- Pradyut Bordoloi, Rockybul Hussain and Debabrata Saikia also called PM as the "best actor in the world," adding, "Modi is undoubtedly the best actor in the world. Apart from being an actor, he is also a fraud."
