PM to land in Guwahati shortly

After laying foundation stones and inaugurating several projects at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, Prime Minister will be landing at Guwahati to inaugurate other projects in Assam.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of a bridge over the river Brahmaputra. The six-lane bridge will connect Guwahati with North-Guwahati.

He will also kick start the construction work of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Changsari near Guwahati. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Numaligarh Refinery's bio-diesel plant and the Barauni-Guwahati gas pipeline. These energy projects in Assam will connect the State with the national gas grid.

Notably, several organisations in the State have welcomed the Prime Minister with black flags on Friday evening.
