Poacher arrested at Bokakhat for alleged involvement in rhino killing

The Forest Department on Tuesday apprehended one poacher at Bokakhat, for alleged involvement in rhino killing at Kaziranga National Park.

The poacher has been identified as Naren Saikia from Tamulipathar, Bokakhat.

Officials of the Forest Department informed that Naren was earlier involved in hatching a plot to kill a rhino at Kaziranga, with one Sarat Saikia who is presently in police custody.

Further investigation is being conducted to track involvement of more people.
