Poacher arrested in Biswanath | Rubber boat recovered

Forest officials of the Northern Range of Kaziranga National Park and Biswanath Police, in a joint operation, apprehended a poacher at Milanpur in Biswanath on Sunday night.

A rubber boat and cash amounting to two lakh rupees have been seized from the poacher, identified as one Kasim Ali aka 'Kola'.

Kasim Ali is believed to be a prominent member of a gang of rhino poachers who had created menace at the Kaziranga National Park.

Ali is presently in police custody, with further interrogation going on.
