Assam police today arrested five people in connection with Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath's mob lynching case in Karbi Anglong.

The arrested people are Kankan Basumatary, Deepjyoti Basumatary, Sarukan Swargiary, Babu Ringpi and Anuj Timung.

Police said that they are continuing investing in the barbaric incident that happened on Friday and assured that justice will be served by apprehending all the culprits responsible for death of the two youths.

In a shocking and tragic incident, two youths from Guwahati were brutally lynched to death by a mob after mistaking them for child traffickers on Friday night at karbi Anglong's Dokmoka.
