A 16-year old boy from Assam's Golaghat district was twice apprehended last week by police for uploading a video on social media with objectionable content that heavily criticizes the BJP government at Centre and the state.

Initially the boy was detained by Golaghat police on May 23 and later again after a complaint was filed against him by BJP functionaries for uploading the video. In addition to Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, the boy was also booked under Section 500 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code.

The Golaghat resident heavily criticized and roasted several BJP leaders in the video. He also used objectionable language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Through the video, the teenager rants about the failures of the BJP government in the last 4 years and in the process roasted the BJP leaders too.
