Pratidin Bureau

On the second day of the Ambubachi Mela, which is being held in Guwahati's Nilachal Hill, reaches its peak; former chief minister of Assam Prafull Kumar Mahanta visited the Kamakhya Temple this morning.

Like other devotees who have flooded the temple area day in and out, Mahanta too came to offer prayers in the same.

"I pray for the peace and prosperity of Assam as well as the country", Mahanta told Pratidin Time.

It may be noted that the main doors of the Kamakhya Temple, which have been closed due to what is believed to be the Goddess' annual menstruation course, will be opened on June 26 at 2:04:22 PM.
